Implants and implant crowns

An implant is a prosthetic tooth root. Together with the oral surgeon, an implant is placed in the site of a missing tooth and then it is left under the gum to fuse with the bone for a period of time.

The surgeon then uncovers the implant and places a healing abutment. After healing abutment placement we restore the implant with a crown for esthetics and chewing function.
